Carney Direct Marketing provides marketing and analysis solutions that help businesses market their products and services more efficiently to existing and prospective customers.  Carney Direct adheres to the data practices described in this privacy policy. We recognize and respect the privacy interests of the individuals about whom we process information, and about whom we maintain information.  We base our policy on your right to 1) make choices to opt out, 2) have your data protected, 3) give you access to the data we collect and the ability to make corrections.

What We Collect
Our web server automatically recognizes every visitor’s IP address. We do not, however, recognize email addresses unless they are provided to us by filling out a form on our website. We collect email addresses of those who contact us by email or provide their email address in some other method voluntarily. We also collect (email and postal) addresses and telephone numbers submitted on our website to promote our products and services and provide updates. In addition, we collect aggregate information regarding visitors to our site and the specific pages viewed. We do this for the sole purpose of improving our website. Also, we do not share our collected information with outside companies or set cookies or employ the services of ad server companies.  Personal information collected from our clients’ customers is used only as directed by the client. It will not be used for any other purpose without authorization from the individual and/or client.

 

Who We Share It With
Except as may be required by law, any personal information we obtain from individuals will only be used to contact you in response to your inquiry, or as directed by our clients in accordance with their privacy policy. The personal information collected by Carney Direct, for its own use, will not be sold, transferred or traded to any third party for unsolicited marketing purposes. However, we may share some of your business information with our partners with which we share an arrangement for co-marketing of services. Customer personal information collected on behalf of our clients will only be disclosed as directed by the client in accordance with their privacy policy.  This privacy notice does not cover any website operated by a third party which Carney Direct may link to from this website. Please review the privacy notices and cookie policies associated with those websites for details of how they may process your data.

Additionally, Carney Direct acts as a processor on behalf of its clients, providing customized services that enable organizations to manage their customer information efficiently in such ways as increasing marketing efficiency, and applying database marketing strategies. Carney Direct processes marketing information of its clients and on behalf of its clients. In this capacity as a processor on behalf, Carney Direct acts on the instructions of its clients and does not control or share such data without direction from the client.

Security

Carney Direct operates secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our members. Carney Direct takes reasonable steps to secure all data; however, no data that is transmitted over the Internet is 100% secure, so in submitting information you do so at your own risk. We are not responsible for the security of information transmitted via the Internet.

If you do not wish to receive emails from us, you may contact us by following the opt out instructions on the email you received or by emailing us at privacy@carneydirect.com or writing us at the above address with your request to be removed.

If you have supplied your phone or fax number to us (through the website or otherwise) but no longer wish to receive phone calls from us, you may contact us by email at privacy@carneydirect.com or writing us at the above address. Be sure to list the phone or fax number that you no longer wish us to use.

To opt out of our marketing products and services databases, please email us at privacy@carneydirect.com. Please include full name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number in your request. Please note that by opting out of our marketing database, it will not prevent other companies from sending you marketing promotions through various channels, including but not limited to direct mail, email, social media and display ads.

 

If we change our privacy policy, we will post the new policy on our website prior to each change. If you are concerned with how your information is being used, please check our website periodically.

Carney Direct Marketing follows the ANA/DMA’s Privacy Policy Guidelines. In addition, we only use data sources that follow state and federal do not call laws and regulations. National Mailing Lists

Go to: www.the-dma.org and register online for the ANA/DMA’s Mail Preference Service (https://dmachoice.thedma.org/register.php).

If you do not wish to complete your registration online, you can register for DMAchoice by using the mail-in form that is online: fill out the DMAChoice Mail In Form with all required information, print it and mail to the address provided by the ANA.

If you are a resident of PA or WY, you can register for DMA’s Telephone Preference Service (TPS), which is the Official Do Not Call list for the States of Pennsylvania and Wyoming and allows you to “opt out” of national telemarketing lists.  Go online to: www.the-dma.org and register online for the DMA’s Telephone Preference Service

Annual User Rights Request Metrics

CCPA requires certain businesses to compile and disclose metrics on an annual basis regarding CCPA compliance and consumer rights requests. These metrics must be posted by July 1st of each year. Carney Direct Marketing has chosen to report the required metrics on a calendar year basis from January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023. Additional States with Enacted Privacy Policies (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Vermont, Virginia, Texas, New Jersey Utah, or any other State with a State privacy law)

Many states have passed their own unique privacy laws, including but not limited to Vermont, Virginia, Colorado, Utah, Texas, New Jersey and Connecticut, which offers additional rights for individuals living in these states. Such rights are detailed below and apply to consumers in all or some of the states as applicable pursuant to the Virginia Consumer Protection Act (“VCPA”), the Colorado Privacy Act (“CPA”), the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (“UCPA”), the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (“CTDPA”) and others state specific privacy laws.

The personal information we collect for our marketing data products is not collected on this website. Our marketing data products contain publicly available information, census information, as well as personal information from data compilers, aggregators, and partners.

Carney Direct does not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information for marketing purposes on anyone under the age of 18.

 

Right to Know and Access

As a resident of a state with an enacted privacy law you have the right to request that Carney Direct disclose the specific pieces or categories of personal information that has been collected or disclosed for business purposes about you in the preceding twelve (12) months.   In order for Carney Direct to properly verify the Consumer’s identity prior to any disclosure of information, Carney Direct requires the Consumer’s full name, and mailing address.  Please contact privacy@carneydirect.com for information under the Right to Know and Access.

Right to Delete

As a resident of a state with an enacted privacy policy, you have the right to request that Carney Direct delete any personal information that has been collected or maintained about you.  In order for Carney Direct to properly verify the Consumer’s identity prior to any disclosure of information, Carney Direct requires the Consumer’s full name, and mailing address.  Please contact privacy@carneydirect.com for information under the Right to Delete.

Right to Opt-Out

As a resident of a state with an enacted privacy policy, you have the right to opt-out.  In order for Carney Direct to properly verify the Consumer’s identity prior to any disclosure of information, Carney Direct requires the Consumer’s full name, and mailing address.  Please contact privacy@carneydirect.com for information under the Right to Opt Out.  Carney Direct will then remove your personal information from our marketing databases, and maintain your information in our “suppression” database in order to maintain your opt-out status. We may require that you verify any of the information that you submit, such as through a verified email response or another verified response.

Right to Correct

As a resident of a state with an enacted privacy policy, you have the right to correct your personal information.  In order for Carney Direct to properly verify the Consumer’s identity prior to any disclosure of information, Carney Direct requires the Consumer’s full name, and mailing address.  Please contact privacy@carneydirect.com for information under the Right to Correct.

Carney Direct does not collect, receive, store nor process the data of any person located in the European Union (EU) and thus is not subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data Broker

Carney Direct is a data broker under California, Vermont, and Texas law. To conduct business in these states, a data broker must register with each state.  Information about data broker registrants is available on the respective state websites.

Carney Direct takes reasonable steps to confirm that our clients are who they say they are and will be using the data collected for a legitimate business purpose.
